In the rolling hills of Southern Indiana, Spring Mill Village emerged in 1814. By 1817, the rhythmic turning of the grist mill's water wheel echoed through the valley. Seven years later, in 1824, the community's heartbeat strengthened with the establishment of a distillery—transforming grain into gold.
The pioneers of Spring Mill understood value beyond the harvest. Corn that couldn't feed families or livestock found purpose in copper stills, where it was transformed into the legendary "Old Hamer Whiskey." This liquid treasure—more compact and profitable than raw grain—journeyed down the Mississippi to the bustling markets of New Orleans, carrying the Spring Mill legacy with every barrel.
What began as frontier ingenuity became whiskey royalty, then faded into the mists of time... until now.
Old Hamer's story wasn't finished—it was waiting. Carefully resurrected from historical recipes and techniques, this distinctive spirit returns to your glass exactly as it should be: authentic, corn-forward, and undeniably Midwestern by nature.
Not just whiskey, but heritage reborn.
